Phil’s Grill uses National Burger Month in May to celebrate one of America’s favorite foods and enhance the lives of youth in the community. The restaurant conducts Burgerpalooza, a celebrity burger event to benefit New Orleans Saints player Deuce McAllister’s Catch 22 foundation. The foundation provides outings, such as sports and museum trips to underprivileged youth in the Gulf South Region. Attendees of Burgerpalooza pay $12.99 for a burger and a Burgerpalooza t-shirt. Phil’s Grill donated $5 for every burger sold and raised $3,500 for the foundation.
