Proof On Main
The hottest month of the year is the hottest month for fundraising at Proof on Main. Each July during National Ice Cream month, proceeds from the restaurant’s sales of house-made ice cream and sorbet go to the Louisville Deaf Oral School and the Kosair Children’s Hospital. The school serves more than 150 deaf and hard-ofhearing children and Kosair is the state’s only full-service pediatric hospital. Proof also delights the children of both organizations by hosting ice cream parties. Kosair Children’s Hospital was a natural fit for the restaurant, whose president had a childhood illness requiring many hospital stays. In addition to the ice cream fundraiser, Proof partners with a different charity each month by featuring a local celebrity bartender. A portion of proceeds from bar sales and tips are donated to the charity.
